Small Gifts. Big Changes .

What we do

The Offor Mercy Fund was created with a very simple mission in mind: to provide basic tools to vision impaired children in Nigeria—books in braille, walking canes, magnifying glasses, et cetera. These things are taken for granted in wealthy, Western countries because they are readily available at the click of a button. This is not the case in developing countries, yet these simple items can simply change the trajectory of a child’s life by giving them mobility access to education. Scroll to learn more.

Materials for Learning and Living

Very often, children and young adults in Nigeria who have vision impairments are marginalized. Many times, this is simply because of a lack of tools and materials necessary to give these promising students access to learning and the ability to get around their homes and neighborhoods. We provide simple tools that can have a life-changing impact, not only for the vision-impaired child, but also for their families, schools, and communities.

“I express my sincere gratitude for your generous donation to the Resource Center for the Blind. Your kindness is truly appreciated, and the positive impact of your support will significantly enhance the lives of those within our institution.”
